Dr. Charles Kratz

Sterling Heights Chiropractor, Dr. Charles KratzI was just out of high school when I had my first chiropractic visit. Although I had no specific aliments, my dad took me to his Chiropractor for a checkup. The doctor examined me and found that I had a mild case of scoliosis and several subluxations. I visited my chiropractor regularly throughout the summer to have my spine checked and adjusted. By early summer, I had enrolled in the Electrical Engineering undergrad program at Macomb Community College. As the summer started to wind down, I realized that I hadn’t gotten sick and I was able to think more clearly with great focus. In the past I had always had a difficult time focusing and a very weak immune system. As I became more educated about chiropractic and saw the incredible results I was getting, I learned that following my current curriculum was not what I wanted out of life. I wanted to help others achieve the same level of health and clarity that I had obtained through chiropractic. I then researched different Chiropractic Colleges, and after a few years of undergrad I began graduate school at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Late in 2002, I made the decision to finish my doctorate at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Studying at two different Chiropractic Colleges has given me an edge in this very demanding field. Once I completed my schooling, I returned to my roots in Michigan to practice.

Along the way, I met my wife Julie in Georgia, while at Life University. Little did I know that she was from Michigan, and that we had grown up just miles from each other. We married in 2004, shortly after receiving my doctorate, and have 2 beautiful daughters ages 3 and less than 1 year. MacKenzie and Sophia have been adjusted since the day they were born, and Julie says she never would have gotten through pregnancy without chiropractic! Health is not just an afterthought in our family. It’s a way of life.

One of the most important things I want to educate the community about is that chiropractic is not just for those in pain. Chiropractic is about the function of the nervous system. Once the nervous system can communicate with the rest of the body, true health will reveal itself. I get excited when someone asks me to explain what chiropractic is and how it can help them. Although it is very common for chiropractic to yield multiple healthy results, it is incredible to hear a Practice Member tell me that they have noticed an improvement in their overall health, when they originally came to see me for another issue altogether.

I am committed to bringing optimal health to those in the community and beyond.

Dr. William Asks some important questions of interest to Sterling Heights residents - Chiropractor Sterling Heights Dr. William Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can a chiropractor heal?
There's never been a case in which a doctor (chiropractor or otherwise) has formed scar tissue, mended a broken bone or cured a headache. Only you can do that. Turns out you're the doctor! All I do is help remove interferences to your body's healing ability. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
